Hand-painted map of Japan in minimalist style. The basic colors and forms draw inspiration from woodblock ukiyo-e Japanese prints from the 17th-19th centuries. The title of the work is simply the name of Japan in Japanese (日本) written in calligraphic style. Behind that title is a circle which alludes to the rising sun.
