Endonym Map of Europe (2023) — Native Languages Edition

This map presents Europe as it is known from within. Each country and major city is labeled in its native language and script — Russia appears in Cyrillic, Greece in Greek, Germany as Deutschland, and so forth. Multilingual states such as Switzerland and Belgium are represented in their principal languages.

In addition to linguistic authenticity, the map documents active and unresolved territorial disputes across the continent. A reference panel identifies ongoing conflicts, including Cyprus, Ukraine, Georgia, Moldova, and others, situating modern Europe within its evolving geopolitical context.

This work is a study of political identity, language, and sovereignty in 2023. The map is fully hand-painted and researched, prioritizing historical accuracy, legibility, and aesthetic coherence over modern graphic shortcuts.
