Handpainted and researched map of the zenith of the Ottoman Empire painted in Ottoman Turkish Arabic Calligraphy. Ottoman miniature paintings and Tughra of Sultan Mehmed IV. Persian poetry adorning the miniatures, which all are copies of originals from the 17th century or earlier. At this point, the Ottomans reached their greatest territorial extent, but would soon lose territory following the Treaty of Karlowitz and the failed siege of Vienna from 1683.
High quality giclee print available at various sizes. Actual print is clearer than what is depicted. I was inspired to make this map after seeing several maps written in Ottoman Turkish.
