Handpainted and researched map of the Caribbean during the Golden Age of Piracy in 1700. The Caribbean had long been a playground for pirates, and between 1680-1720, piracy was at its height. The Spanish struggle to hold on to their colonies and protect them against pirate raids while the French and English compete over a number of islands, which go back and forth. Other Europeans are present too, including the Scots who fail to colonize New Edinburgh.

High-quality giclee print available in various sizes. The actual detail is greater than in the photos, which have been compressed.
